Coffee Helps People Live Longer

A study was done from over 400,000 men and women and found that 15% of women and 10% of men lived longer than non-coffee drinkers (Publishing). This study along with a UK Biobank study show a strong link between living longer as a result of drinking coffee.

Coffee Reduces Cancer Risk

According to the American Cancer Society, 4-6 cups of black coffee a day lowered the risk of cancer of the throat and mouth, liver and prostate cancer, and endometrial cancer (Simon). Another study from Harvard concluded that early death from colorectal cancer was reduced when 4 cups of coffee per day were consumed (Feldsher and Harvard TH Chan).

Type 2 Diabetes Prevention

A compound found in coffee called cafestol slowed the development of type 2 diabetes in a study done on high-risk mice (Whiteman). Initially, caffeine was thought to prevent type 2 diabetes however it was discovered it was only for a short time glucose and insulin levels were effected in a positive way by caffeine (White). Cafestol has better antidiabetic properties over a longer period than caffeine.

Coffees Ingredients Protect Your Liver from Harm

According to a British Liver Trust report in 2016, coffee has 3 major benefits when it comes to a person's liver (British Liver Trust).
  • Prevent Liver Cancer
  • Lowers The Risk Of Cirrhosis and Fibrosis
  • Slows Liver Disease Progression

Fight Depression With Coffee

Coffee stops a binding process with adenosine in people's brains linked to fatigue and depression (National Coffee Association). Coffee helps with inflammation, oxidation, and gut health which play a major role in depression as well (National Coffee Association).

Prevents Alzheimer's Disease From Forming

Coffee can play a role in preventing Alzheimer's disease because coffee prohibits the buildup of amyloid protein in the brain (Murez). A separate study backed this up and also found dark roasted coffee to be more beneficial in blocking these proteins that lead to Alzheimer's whether it be decaffeinated or not (Mack).

Less Likely to Get Parkinsons Disease

Since 1968 studies have been conducted in regard to coffees protection of Parkinsons Disease and each one suggested coffee drinkers are less likely to get Parkinsons (Parkinsons Foundation).

Prevents The Development of Cardiovascular Disease

A study conducted over 12 and a half years, and with people with no cardiovascular issues, found people who drank 2-3 cups of coffee a day were at the lowest risk of developing cardiovascular disease out of 43,000 participants (Cohen).
