Micronutrient Deficiencies Harmful Effects

Image
Micronutrient Deficiencies Cause Significant Damage 6 essential micronutrient deficiencies cause similar ailments within the human body. When a child or adult lacks multiple micronutrients at the same time, it could bring significant harm. Similar medical conditions between the 6 micronutrient deficiencies include trouble breathing, brain impairments, multiple pregnancy issues for mom and child, muscle issues, effect a child's growth and development, fertility issues, fatigue, diarrhea, and death.  6 Essential Micronutrients The 6 essential micronutrients include iron, vitamin A, vitamin D, iodine, folate, and zinc, which are very essential for the body even though they are not produced naturally, besides vitamin d, within the body (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).  Iron deficiency can lead to anemia - making it difficult for your body to transport oxygen throughout your body, causing breathing issues and fatigue (Mayo Clinic).  Lack of vitamin A can lead to blindness

Raw Food Diet Disadvantages

The Disadvantages of The Raw Food Diet Raw food diets have disadvantages along with advantages. Whether one outweighs the other is debatable. It is very hard to debate facts and that is my intent with this post focused mostly on the negative effects of the diet.  A raw food diet has nutritional deficiencies like lack of B-12, low HDL cholesterol numbers, not enough nutrients like calcium or vitamin D to support good bone health, and low body weight due to lack of calories inside the diet ( Livestrong) . Iron and iodine are two nutrients lacking with this plan as well (Cleveland Clinic).  The diet weakens muscles due to lack of protein, almost 100% of the people experienced tooth erosion in one study, and another study found it to increase infertility in women with about 70% experiencing disruption with their menstrual cycle and a third developing amenorrhea (Petre).  The diet is restrictive, time consuming and puts people at a higher risk for food poisoning because of the raw uncooked

Lower LDL Cholesterol Naturally

High Cholesterol has Zero Symptoms High cholesterol is caused by genetics, lifestyle choices and has zero symptoms (Morales Brown and Eske). Making healthy changes to your lifestyle, changing your diet and exercising, will lower the bad cholesterol low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and raise the good cholesterol high-density lipoprotein (HDL) (Mayo Clinic). Heart disease is 90% preventable even if it's in your genetics by keeping your LDL low because high levels increase your risk for stroke and heart attacks (Cleveland Clinic).  Lower LDL cholesterol by 10% naturally by consuming 2g of plant sterols or stanols a day and replace meat, which raises low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels, with eating fish (high in omega-3 fats) a few times a week which lowers LDL cholesterol and reduces triglyceride levels in the bloodstream (Publishing). Dr Wesley Milks, a cardiologist and clinical lipidologist, says "we often tell patients that diet - focused on reducing saturated fat and in
