A curcumin dietary supplement is an effective natural potency against age effected diabetes, acts as an anti-inflammatory, and as an antioxidant (Lee et al.). Being described as a potent diabetic fighting agent really stood out to me. I thought it would be minimally effective but not as highly effective as prescription drugs.

Curcumin Dietary Supplement Reduces Depression

Curcumin was found to significantly reduce depression symptoms and found to be as highly effective as prescription drugs for certain types of depression (Curcumin). In addition, curcumin was found to have effective anti-cancer properties, neuroprotective, good for your oral health, and works against Alzheimer's Disease (Curcumin).

Great For Your Skin

Curcumin is currently being marketed for skin related diseases and is growing every year as an ingredient in skin care products (Cox).

A Natural Allergy and Asthma Fighter

Great for allergies and asthma because studies have shown curcumin to significantly reduce airway constrictions as well as inflammatory markers in lung tissue, basically being able to stop asthma and allergies before they start (Curcumin for Health). Significantly reducing asthma and allergy symptoms allows the combination with other 100% natural products that are known to help asthma and allergies since no side effects will occur.  Prescription drugs are always unnatural, usually have side effects, and have huge costs associated as you usually have to keep refilling these prescriptions.

Prevents, Stops the Spread, and Kills Cancer Cells

curcumin kills cancer cells

Studies revealed curcumin kills cancer cells that have already formed while also reducing metastasis and angiogenesis. Shows promise at preventing and stopping the spread of cancer, in particular colon, oral, and hepatocellular carcinoma (National Cancer Institute). Coming from the National Cancer Institute means this is not just a theory, real studies have taken place to come to these medical conclusions. Many other natural diet aides follow similar patterns of preventing and stopping the spread of cancers

  • kudzo
  • propolis
  • quercetin
  • black currant extract (stops the spread of breast cancer cells)
  • modified citrus pectin
  • white korean ginseng
  • phytochemicals (believed to reduce cancer risk by as much as 40%)
  • ECGC
  • Bioperine
  • Beet Root
  • Hibiscus
  • strawberry extract
  • acai extract (colon and other cancers)
  • blueberry powder
  • bitter melon
  • yarrow
  • gymnema sylvestre (the sugar destroyer)
  • vitamin E
  • licorice
  • cinnamon
  • coffee

21 natural diet aides (all medically researched) that help prevent and/or stop the spread of different types of cancer. In addition, amur cork bark and curcumin both kill cancer cells in existence along with preventing and stopping the spread. With so many natural diet aids medically researched to discover its cancer preventing and fighting qualities, why isn't this more widely known as with prescription drugs?  In all probability, with more research, more conclusions can be drawn for the fight against cancer. I am sure many other natural diet aides exist, both known and unknown, that also fight and kill cancer as well. One conclusion that is clearly drawn is if people changed their diet, and if people were made more aware of these facts, than more and more cancers would be prevented at the very least.

Many natural diet aides help stop the spread of and prevent cancer however very few I have come across actually kill the cancer cells in existence. Many other dietary aids and supplements show strong possibilities, but not like curcumin and amur cork bark that have shown to kill cancer cells in studies.

The development of drugs to fight cancer with curcumin have been difficult because of its bioavailability; until recently with TBP1901 which shows the possibility of a drug for bone marrow cancers like multiple myeloma and leukemia (Kyoto University).

Being able to fight cancer, diabetes, depression, act as an inflammatory and antioxidant, great for oral health, your brain, skin, allergies and asthma show curcumin as a great addition to your daily life.
