Studies on Visceral Fat loss

visceral fat loss

Many studies on visceral fat loss exist. Exercise and diet play a significant role in the deadly metabolic disease. Living a sedentary lifestyle makes more of a difference in the percentage of fat surrounding your vital organs than your diet. The root cause of type 2 diabetes was discovered after conducting a visceral fat health study.

Effects Your Sexual Health

Peer reviewed studies on visceral fat revealed visceral fat % has a direct correlation with erectile dysfunction, and premature ejaculation in men (Dursun, Cakir et al.)

The Easiest Way To Lose Visceral Fat

Losing weight is the easiest way to lose visceral fat and people lose a higher percentage of body fat after losing a smaller percentage of body weight, but even when you exercise and do not lose weight you still will lose body fat (visceral fat) (Martin)

Losing fat is more important than losing weight because losing weight involves losing muscle mass and water, which is why exercising regularly is the best for weight loss as it will focus on losing fat rather than losing precious muscle (Van De Walle). Studies on visceral fat loss revealed visceral fat can be lost when exercising without dieting (Vissers et al.).

Visceral Fat is Deadly

Visceral fat inside the abdomen can lead to metabolic syndrome, increasing the likelihood of polycystic ovary syndrome, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gallstones, cancers, and sexual dysfunction (Science Direct). This is why the loss of visceral fat is very important for people.

Losing Visceral Fat Reverses Type 2 Diabetes

Reversing the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes happened with significant studies on visceral fat loss on patients with and without the disease that discovered a 2x higher loss in visceral fat % in patients with T2D than those without, even though they followed the same diet for 2 weeks, along with the reversal of the disease (Huzar). The study also concluded that it's not being overweight or obese that is causing T2D, but more specifically the visceral fat around the liver, which prevents insulin from working, and fat around the pancreas, which halts beta cells from making the insulin, as the root cause of T2D (Huzar).

I found the higher loss of visceral fat in patients with type 2 diabetes very interesting. The study did not mention why the visceral fat loss was more significant in patients with the disease than those that did not even though they followed the same diet.

Conclusion

Studies on visceral fat loss have revealed lowering your visceral fat % will improve your sex life, reverse type 2 diabetes, lower the risk for cardiovascular disease, and exercise is the best way to lose it. If you do not lose weight, or change your diet, you can still lose visceral fat by exercising. You definitely want to avoid this type of fat in your system because it is deadly.
